Letter from Prof. Remy Presas to Jay de Leon dated January28, 1978
Letter from Prof. Remy Presas to Jay de Leon dated January28, 1978.

I surmise that this is one of Remy’s earlier correspondence after coming to the United States.  Was San Francisco his first stop in the United States?  Shortly thereafter, he started giving seminars and classes in Los Angeles, California, which I attended.

In his first sentence, he mentions getting a check from me.  I had bought a pair of rattan sticks from him, which I have to this day.

Note his letterhead.  Almost thirty years later, I am a Commissioner of his organization based in Manila, Philippines called the International Modern Arnis Federation of the Philippines (IMAFP).
