Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 The Podium, Ortigas Ave., Manila

Tito Osias arranged for the two of us to meet at the Podium at Ortigas Ave. and have lunch with Gi Guanio on a business matter. Gi showed up accompanied by fellow Luxids Deng Bautista, who was his corporate attorney, and Ernie Diokno, who was visiting with Gi on another business matter.

Gi treated us to a Chinese lunch as we took care of business matters, caught up on school affairs and just had a good time.

After lunch, Tito Osias took me home to Baby Boy Poblador’s condo unit, where we had an impromptu reunion with Jake Campomanes and Baby Boy himself.

In the evening, a poker session broke out at Manito de Leon’s hideaway tucked somewhere in Balete Drive, Manila. Ever the gracious host, Manito had dinner catered and served at his house before the poker game.

As soon as the poker session got under way, a small contingent of non-poker players - Alex Babst, Marvene Ozaeta and myself - left Manito’s house and sought diversion elsewhere, in Cainta to be precise.

What subsequently happened to the two groups now fall under the classification of classified material, and may only be revealed under subpoena from a grand jury or threat of water torture.
