Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, ADMU Covered Courts, Quezon City
Baby Boy Poblador and I drove to the Ateneo de Manila grounds in Loyola Heights, Quezon City, well before the Mass at the Gesu. Thus we were able to socialize with other Luxids as well as other Ateneans and their family.
Luxid stars include Dennis Teves, Jake Campomanes, Willie Villareal,
Boyong Deles, Badung Tuy, Pol Rivas, Bong Baun and Butch Tonolete.

Atty. Badung Tuy (the smaller fellow) and Gesu.

Atty. Badung Tuy and friend.

Our lovely and hard working secretary, Ruby Santos.

After the Mass at the Gesu, we joined the procession to the High School Covered Courts, where Luxid had a group of 6 or 7 tables reserved, which turned out to be not enough.

Baby Boy Poblador gets ready to lead the troops,
surrounded by his banners and honor guards.

Baby Boy Poblador and Willie Villareal lead the Luxids
in the procession to the Covered Courts. Or do they just
enjoy following pretty faces in uniform?

For the record, the white shirt was also an official Luxid shirt.
If you look closely, you will see our logo on it. White pants
were only for professional entertainers.

I have not mentioned their names here anywhere, so sitting in the
middle of the pack are Mayie Delgado and Nolet Ladrido.

The celebrity in the middle who refused to exchange his tailored coat
for a cheap blue shirt was Ed “Republic of Cebu” Faelnar, who came
to the reunion to escape the freezing winter in Canada. And did I
say white pants were only for entertainers?

The happiest drunks at the Covered Courts – a stoic Pol Rivas,
Jimmy Melendres, Manito de Leon, Joey Moreno, Rom Azanza,
Butch Moran, John Salientes, Badung Tuy and Henry Villarica.

Jimmy Alabanza is pleading with his commander
to please extend his curfew tonight.

That’s Atty. Vic Velasquez waving to the only person he recognized
the whole night. Jimmy Alabanza’s request was denied, so he had
to go straight home after this picture was taken.

I have not had the chance to mention their names but somewhere in
that mob are Ed Valencia and Vic Facultad. And no, Marvin Ozaeta
is not that tall, and in fact could never even jump that high even
during his playing days.

Three of my favorite Luxids at the reunion—Jimmy Melendres,
Roman “Pindot” Azanza and John Salientes sporting a new slim look.

Boy Flores and other guests.

Butch Tonelete hands over U.S. Luxids’ donation to Baby Boy
Poblador. Or was that for his bar tab and bar fine last night?

Former classmates and law partners Atty. Vic Velasquez
and Atty. F. William Villareal. No lawyer jokes, please.

The only Luxid with a valid reason to wear white pants
and white shoes.

Joe Mari Chan belts it out, representing our batch’s
entertainment number. Thanks, Joe Mari.

Jimmy Melendres wins a prize.

This is what Jimmy Melendres got to bring home.
No, not the girl, what she is holding.

The class of GS’59, HS’63 and College’67 takes center stage.

“We stand on a hill, between the earth and sky…”

Willie Villareal presents the facsimile check for 1,200,000 pesos
representing the Luxid donation to Father Bienvenido Nebres, S.J.
